YUKI FUJISAWA's Aran knit was unveiled this spring at the famous Moriyama residence in Tokyo.
A combination of rich colors, original ceramic buttons, and pocket patterns inspired by the colors of the cultivated land, people's activities, and memories of travels seen in the Aran Islands. We received your order while imagining the day when you would wear a sweater at the Moriyama residence, which is a living, breathing home. The orders we received in the spring were knitted during the summer and fall, and the finished product was beautifully made just in time for the winter season.
The feelings you put into your favorite color, the shape of the sweater, the pattern, or your initials. A total of 100 different combinations were created through conversations with everyone. Before each sweater goes on its way to its owner, we will come together to unveil it.
At this exhibition, we will display custom-made Aran sweaters, as well as tote bags and new knit accessories (knit hats, mittens, scarves) for sale in advance.
The crystallization of time, woven over thousands of hours, will last into someone's warm days in the future. Please take this opportunity to take a look at each piece that makes you feel the beginning of the story.
